You probably know me as an astronaut. But while the seven days I spent between sky and earth left an everlasting mark on my life, they are only a small part of a lifetime devoted to fulfilling my childhood dream : to fly.

Flying in the sky and into space has changed the way I see the world. The love of risk and discovery, team spirit, solidarity, and the protection of life and the environment are all values that I now share through my books and the conferences I give.

I have also been deeply involved in children’s education, to help inspire vocations among the youngest and to give them the desire to fight for the values I have always passionately upheld.
This commitment has taken shape through numerous educational initiatives, such as the creation of the first European Space Camp, and my involvement with UNESCO as a Goodwill Ambassador for Peace and Children.

This site is an opportunity to revisit some of the traces I’ve left and to share a few memories together. But above all, it is a space for exchange and encounters focused on the future, which I wanted to offer you. So please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me to talk about your dreams or your projects.

Speaker, consultant and…

so many other things !

Many of you remember Patrick Baudry as an astronaut, leaving for space with a Basque beret and a little girl from Lynch-Bages 1975 tucked into his suitcase! Some even say they saw him on their television screens on June 17, 1985, carrying a baguette under his arm, ready for liftoff.

Many also think of him primarily as a pilot, of course a fighter pilot, but also a civilian pilot. Fewer know that he is a test pilot, both military and civilian, as well as a helicopter pilot !

Many still wonder what he is doing today… “Many things,” he replies when asked.

To all these images, it was necessary to bring the truth, and to all the questions one might ask about yesterday and especially about today, some answers.

Discover, between these lines, his current activities as a speaker and consultant in aeronautical and space endeavors.

What you may not know : his commitment.

At the same time, as a UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Peace and Children, he has supported numerous associations. Driven by the conviction that what is truly essential today is not the Earth we leave to children, but the children we leave to the Earth. He supports and sponsors organizations that care for brave and resilient children, children perhaps more ready than others to face the world.
